From the identification of quality housing, to navigating insurance, Medicaid, Veteran's benefits, caregivers and home health, we can help you connect all the dots, while advocating for the greatest possible service.
Our teams have personally visited and graded each of the long term care options in Southern Oregon. We know how they look and smell, what they cost, and if they provide quality care
Transitional steps are rarely clear, unless you have assisted hundreds of seniors before. What legal documents do you need? How do you downsize, pack & move? Will you qualify for Medicaid, annuities, Veteran's benefits, etc. How do you discharge from the hospital or skilled nursing facility? How do you save money for your spouse who wants to remain at home? How do you ask for a Social Security raise? We can help you with all of this!
We are an extension of you and your family. Our advocates are experts in long-term care! We can be a strong voice as we push to ensure quality services.
Whether we're assisting you to apply for benefits, packing boxes, or visiting with your family and attorney - we will be by your side every step of the way!
We'll even help to find a moving company!
Assisting you and your loved ones, should there be an emergency. There is much to consider, from pets to spouses left at home with progressive dementia.
From managing grief to assessing risks and new transitions, it is never easy. We have resources to help pack your belongings, get groceries employ home health and more!
Sometimes the person who experiences the emergency is not the person that needs immediate support. We can help to bridge communication with everyone involved.
Do you feel like you are being heard when you go to the doctor? Do you feel that you need more assistance at home? Are you confused or dizzy from your medications and nobody is listening?
While we will not get involved in your finances, we work with many licensed fiduciaries and banks that can help you pay bills and ensure that your finances are being taken of, including proper management of funds from Social Security and the VA.
Maybe you don't need caregiving, but you want to see a movie or go to the park - perhaps a play in Ashland or the Britt? Maybe you're throwing a dinner party and you need an extra hand, or some assistance adopting a new dog?
There is no charge for a 30 minute consultation.
If you choose to hire Southern Oregon Senior Advocates, the rates vary based on your specific needs, but we are a lot less expensive than your average Aging Life Care Manager.
An in-person consultation will be scheduled with folks that choose to move forward.
Sliding scale for Medicaid.
